Old souls and past lives
Reincarnation work 1
6 good reasons why it makes sense to delve into past lives
People who have incarnated on Earth multiple times almost all know the feeling of knowing places even though they've never been there in their current life. Or of feeling familiar with people even though they've never met before. This is usually due to past life experiences and encounters surfacing, which can contain important information for you in your current life.
Your soul contains a vast store of knowledge and experience. All your experiences, all your lessons learned from all your past lives, whether on Earth or elsewhere, are stored in your own and the universal soul field. However, not all of your previous lives are relevant to your current incarnation.
Those who are important will try to make themselves known in one way or another. And when they do, it truly makes sense to delve back into past experiences in order to gain understanding, to recognize what the learning task, the developmental task, and yes, ultimately, to understand one's own soul plan for this current incarnation.
It's important to understand that reincarnation work can help you make your current life more fulfilling and vibrant. Of course, it's also "fun" to know that you were Cleopatra or Julius Caesar. But the fact that you might have been a famous person in the past doesn't actually make you any greater or more significant in this life. In fact, you can't really do much with voyeuristic knowledge, except perhaps feed your own vanity (which can be nice sometimes).
But working with past lives holds a true treasure trove of possibilities that can be a gift for your current life. No life experience was in vain. No suffering, no pain, but also no practice, learning, loving, laughing, or crying was wasted.
You carry everything within you like a precious library, and you can access it whenever needed to utilize the knowledge for your current spiritual development. You can set aside what proves to be a burden in this life and bring into your life what you need as potential to support your current evolution.
There are countless reasons why you should access the soul library. I'd like to look at six of them with you today.
vow
Yes, there they are again, our vows. If you're an old soul, you can't really avoid vows. There's a 100% probability that you made at least one vow in a previous life. The last 2000 years have been predominantly religious, and vows are almost commonplace. Vows of poverty, of being without possessions, of chastity, of silence, of fasting, but also of self-flagellation, and so on.
All this to find a path to God. Vows have a powerful effect even beyond the life in which they were made. These can also be soul bonds, or vows of love, all contracts and agreements once made or signed in blood. All of this can maintain its effect across time and space.
It's possible that you simply can't get a foothold in some area of your life right now, even though you've tried everything imaginable. Nothing seems to work out, or – which also happens frequently – you sabotage the fulfillment of your own desires, often unconsciously.
You yearn for financial abundance, your dream job is offered, and then suddenly you fall ill. You long for fulfilling love, your dream partner comes along, and you cheat on them with your ex. Self-destructive behavior that keeps you stuck on the path of old vows.
Here, it makes sense to embark on a journey through past lives to uncover these promises and actively resolve them. Because: you have power over your life. You are not helplessly at the mercy of old vows. You made them once, and now you can break them. Yes, and sometimes such a vow can be quite stubborn. But with patience, you can ultimately break any vow.
Attention: This is really important to me: you are not a helpless victim of your fate. You have the ability and the power to actively seize your destiny at any time and transform it to your advantage. However, this requires stepping out of this victim mentality. Reincarnation work can help you recognize old vows so that you are able to actively and consciously release them.
Soul entanglements and soul connections
It's possible that in this life you'll encounter people or situations connected to a past life. Things that happened in the past can still leave wounds and scars in your current life. You meet these people and situations so that you can bring healing and peace to these soul entanglements and connections.
And often it's easier to create healing and peace when you understand the origin of the hurts and entanglements. These hurts and entanglements can also be reciprocal. By that I mean, sometimes we are still "indebted" to someone else because we once caused them serious harm—financially, emotionally, or spiritually.
I can tell you a little story from my past-life experience. I was once in a relationship with a man, and from the very first moment, I had an intuitive feeling: "You will never have children with this man!" My mind dismissed this as utter nonsense, and we entered into a relationship.
The worst part was that in this relationship I always felt like I had to kill myself, even though there was absolutely no external reason for suicidal thoughts or destructive behavior. I carried this burden and these dark feelings with me for a long time. Even traditional psychotherapy couldn't help me.
The reason for the suicidal thoughts could not be found. And then, thank God, during my own psychotherapeutic training I also came into contact with the field of reincarnation work. I underwent a past life regression, and the requirement was to go into a life that has an impact on our current life.
And what I experienced there really blew me away. In the life that unfolded before me, I had been forced into marriage with my boyfriend, with whom I had the problematic relationship in my current life. He was a nobleman, and I hated him from the very first moment. In my previous life, he treated me terribly. I became pregnant and didn't give birth to the desired male heir, but to a daughter. I knew my daughter was in danger. In that life, I fled with my daughter in a clandestine operation, but was found by my husband and locked in a tower in his castle. My daughter was taken from me.
A few days later, my husband suddenly appeared in my prison and held my daughter's severed head in front of my eyes, laughing maliciously before leaving me alone again. I felt like I was going insane, and as my only way out, I chose suicide by throwing myself out of the window of the castle tower where I was being held captive.
That was the solution to the riddle: why I didn't want to have children with my partner, why I never fully trusted him, and above all, why I always felt like I had to kill myself when I was with him.
In a traditional "present-moment therapy," I would never have encountered these complex relationships. But this old life was weighing on our present one. I didn't enjoy being with my partner, but he felt he absolutely had to be with me. The reason is quite simple: his soul and mine were striving for balance.
The soul always strives for balance. And if you look at yourself, when unjust things happen, we all secretly wish that the perpetrator would pay for the suffering they caused. And they do.
I repeat: the soul always strives for balance (it's also one of the cosmic laws: the law of balance). For everything you do, you will eventually receive or pay the price, depending on the nature of your actions. And someone else will also receive or pay the price from you, depending on how they have treated you. Balance extends beyond a single lifetime until it is achieved.
And that's how long I was with my partner. Now, with some distance – a few years later – I can see that. He made so much possible for me, and at some point, it suddenly became clear to both of us that it was over, that nothing was holding us together anymore, and we could move freely and without guilt into new relationships. Since then, I've never again felt the need to kill myself, and with my new partner – my current husband – I became pregnant almost immediately.
This is not meant to frighten you in any way, because the universe is just, kind, and benevolent. What I mean is, you always have the opportunity to make amends voluntarily. And it's relatively simple: here's a rather mundane example: Imagine that many people starved to death because of you. In your current life, you could volunteer at a soup kitchen, donate food to a food bank, cook for the homeless, or do any number of other things. There are always souls who volunteer to put themselves in a needy situation so that other souls have the opportunity to atone for their guilt.
Our being is not just this one life you are currently living. It is a wonderful dance of development encompassing many lives, interconnected like pearls on a beautiful, unique necklace. And it is your necklace. By healing soul entanglements and soul connections, you not only polish the current pearl of your life to a brilliant shine, but also the pearl of the past where hurt and injustice (by you or against you) once arose.
The game of life is ingenious, and it is up to us to consciously begin to understand and seize the rules of the game and the countless opportunities for development it contains.
In reincarnation work, you have the opportunity to "travel back" and find out where the soul entanglements and soul connections began, what wounds they inflicted, and what balance is now required to achieve peace and healing.
Soul development spiral
Your soul is on a path of development, a spiral upwards. The goal: to experience yourself in your highest possible unfolding. And so we go from life to life, from experience to experience. We get to know ourselves, unfold, develop, on and on.
The goal is the wonderful unfolding of all your soul's potential, but it's the path that needs to be taken. And sometimes you walk a path more than once. Why not, if you haven't yet seen and experienced everything that was possible on that one path? And sometimes it makes sense to move on, to take new paths, because the old ones can no longer support us on our journey of soul development.
Here, too, working with past lives can give us valuable insights and clues as to which experiences we still wish to have. Which path might be worth taking again, and which path is now time to leave behind because there is nothing more to grasp there. In reincarnation work, especially when working from life to life, one can often clearly discern a common thread of life or soul, and this can help one gain clarity about why one is where one is now and what steps are best to take next to progress on the path of self-realization.
Talents and potential
Of course, reincarnation work doesn't have to be solely about problems. We don't just need to resolve entanglements, balance guilt, or tackle other difficult issues. Reincarnation work holds another great treasure for us: in working with our past lives, we can recognize and experience the incredible talents and potentials that we have already developed and unfolded.
We don't have to learn everything from scratch anymore. By connecting with our soul's wisdom, we can pick up where we left off in many areas: magical abilities, empathic or clairvoyant talents, the ability to connect with the spiritual world, but also other skills: if you once managed to become a millionaire, then this knowledge is stored within you; use it if you want to become rich again.
If you have already experienced a fulfilling love relationship, then you are capable of experiencing it again. Things you have learned will stay with you. You don't start from scratch in every lifetime. The art lies in connecting with your soul's wisdom, bringing forth the relevant experiences and abilities, and integrating them into your current life.
Working with past lives is worthwhile in many respects.
Lots of love and see you soon, Jennifer
And don't forget: Make your life great.
