Learning to understand dream messages – a little exercise
Hello dear friends of basic trust and soul rushing,
I personally call the time we are in now – beginning of December to around mid-January – the “dream time”. We are on the verge of the rough nights in which dreams are given a very special status. But the tentacles of the rough nights reach far into December and slowly open our awareness to the other side. And so it doesn't hurt if we make friends with the dream work a little now.
Today I would like to share with you a small but very subtle exercise for dreamwork.
Our dreams are a wonderful way of how our inner soul wisdom communicates with us.
Not all dreams are equally important and meaningful. But maybe you know it too, there are dreams that somehow hang on. One wakes up and sees images from the dream. One wakes up and feels that the message of the dream is not quite clear. Just not fully conscious. But inside you know that there is still something hidden in this dream that could be important for you now.
And this is where we can go into active dreamwork. You alone or when you work with clients.
The more we do soul work, the more open we often become in the perception of our dreams. And this little exercise can help you figure out even more what a particular dream is trying to tell you.
I call it “active dream work”. When we start to do active dreamwork, we change and expand our channels of perception more and more. Over time, it becomes easier and easier to remember your own dreams and to be able to interpret them. Our intuition becomes more alert and our "extrasensory" perceptions become finer. By this I mean that we get a deeper and quicker sense of the energies in a room or of other people, just as we can better assess our own energy.
And the exercise is really simple. OK let's get started.
Active Dreamwork
Imagine waking up in the morning - perhaps torn from an alarm clock in the middle of a dream - and you feel that you haven't gotten the message of your dream yet. Scraps of memory are stuck in our brain, perhaps coupled with certain feelings.
And this is exactly where we start. Therefore, do not jump out of bed immediately, but allow yourself another 5 minutes. What was previously born in the unconscious, we now actively take over into our consciousness. By that I mean: take the last pictures you can remember from your "important" dream, if possible consciously connect with the feelings you had during the dream.
Keep your eyes closed and let the images of the dream arise again in front of your inner eyes. You can compare it a bit to rewinding a movie and pressing start. But this time you are awake. You have now become a detective who wants to get to the bottom of the dream content and the message it contains.
When you reconnect with your dream now, always have the question in mind: "What is there for me to recognize here?" - "What message would like to come to me now?" - "What do I feel and why do I feel it, when I see the dream images?” – “What am I thinking and why am I thinking it when I connect with my dream images?”
Try to consciously recreate images from your dream, maybe new ones will appear. You may not immediately find answers to my questions above in the five minutes you spend doing this active dreamwork.
But if you consciously think about images from your "important" dream again, look again, you anchor them in your memory. And so it can be that during the course of the day - while working, cleaning, shopping, driving, watching TV, you suddenly get a flash of realization of what the dream was trying to convey to you.
It might also take a few days. That's okay. Maybe you don't find any reasonable access to the dream messages of this dream at first. Also OK. It is important that we begin to consciously go into the dream work. And the more often we practice this, the more information from the realm of the nocturnal soul we understand, we receive and can use it for our creative process.
Ultimately, it is about actively going into the dream work. We do nothing else during the rough nights. We are now on the "night side", the dream side. That will also change again in the course of the New Year, as soon as we head towards the sun again. But now we have the opportunity to lift gifts from our dreams to know ourselves more and to receive important messages from the other side.
By the way, you can always actively connect with your dream. It doesn't have to be right after in the morning. You can jot down bullet points and pictures, and when you have a quiet minute, you take your notes and replay the pictures in front of your inner eyes, along with the questions above.
Incidentally, this exercise and what you develop more and more from it yourself is an excellent introduction to lucid dreaming. This means that while you are dreaming, you know that you are in a dream.
If you recognize this, you will be able to track down what the dream now contains for a message while you are dreaming, and you can even actively enter into the dream design and enter into an active conversation with your higher self, the angels, in the dream , the spirits, soul mates, soul family and much more. Depending on who just wants to connect with us.
I hope I was able to open a door for you with this little impulse to take your dreams more consciously and to understand them. And stay tuned. Sometimes it just takes time before it works to let the dream images come into being again, to understand them, to imagine them. It's a bit like learning to read. But the work is worth it because we learn to understand such important messages from the other side.
I wish you a wonderful dream work. A wonderful journey to your nocturnal soul and its connections.
Love, your Jennifer
