Hello beloved primal trust and soul rushing friends,
I just wanted to get in touch briefly because of the quality of time we are in right now.
Many have just written to me that they are not doing so well. Life seems somehow difficult, dreary, you feel sick, unmotivated, aimless and yes some very sad and/or exhausted.
OK, everyone who feels this way. Take a deep breath, don't put yourself under pressure. I would like to write you something about it. As I said: it's about the qualities of time (those who are in my training - magical circle of the year or rune training have already heard about it).
Highly sensitive, empathetic people in particular often feel the different qualities of time very strongly without knowing exactly what is actually going on.
You can think of feeling qualities of time like a wave. The wave arrives, it builds up, it reaches its highest point, until the wave breaks and pours out again into the big picture. Then the next wave builds up and so on. The art of us humans is now to become a kind of surfer. We can learn to ride these time qualities waves with their different aspects, chances, possibilities, but also hurdles. This rarely works straight away. Like a real surfer, it takes many, many attempts before you can ride the waves magnificently. And there are light, lighter waves than the wave in you we are now.
We are currently in the "Samhain wave" (which is astrologically associated with the quality of Scorpio) - and if you look at the course of the year, you can already say that it is the "heaviest" wave, maybe also the " darkest". Samhain is not just a holiday and hey presto "Party is over". Samhain as a festival heralds the wave of this quality of time. (and no, it's not always October 31st when this wave begins). Qualities of time cannot be tied to a specific date, they are only approximate values.
The Samhain wave has been building for quite a while, but we're not at the peak yet. And for empathetic wave riders, the feeling might just arise as if you are gazing into a descending darkness. Not a nice starry night darkness. But heavy, so dark that you feel like you can't see anything. A feeling of powerlessness, helplessness, maybe even senselessness and hopelessness might come over you.
Each wave of time through one orbit of the earth around the sun carries an invitation for us. Samhain's invitation carries with it an invitation that most people would rather spend their lives avoiding. And even if you have learned to ride the individual waves, the Samhain wave is and remains a very, very essential one.
The invitation of the Samhain wave is to confront the impermanence of human - your - life. Death knocks to remind you that it is always there, always with us throughout our lives, that your time may not have come yet, but that your lifetime is fleeting.
The Samhain wave, death, does not rub honey on your beard, but invites you to be honest with yourself. Really honest. Descending into your own darkness, to stop listening to your own excuses for why you can't do something or why you do what you do even when you know it's not for the best. To see through your own "Schön Reden" and to leave your castle in the air to confront your real creation. Is this how you wanna be? How do you want to live?
Samhain time can be extremely uncomfortable. It shows us all our own inner darkness. All the spots we haven't enlightened just now, where we might even pretend to be asleep and constantly refuse to actually open our eyes even though we're already awake. But between being awake and acting really awake there is a path that we are allowed to walk.
But Samhain is also your strongest ally when you really want to or are on the spiritual path. He's the one who shines through the self-deceptions. Who can bring you from the high horse to your true life throne, if we dare to look into this dark wave of times.
This isn't about drama. This isn't about going through everything "terrible" from our past again. It's about stepping into that darkness, feeling it, feeling it really calmly. If you stand in the dark, you can see where you are already full of light and where not.
Where are you living below your means? Among your desires? Under your ideas of a happy life? From your longing for a fulfilled lifetime? What are your favorite excuses why you can't do something? What is your favorite "Nice speech" to get stuck in situations that are actually no longer good for you?
Samhain is a quality that always invites you to start with yourself. Not pointing fingers and saying, "Yeah, if so and so were different, I'd be fine. Then I would have a nice life!” This game does not work with death. He can't be fooled, you can only fool yourself.
And beware: the Samhain time is not the time when we plan the New Year, when we powerfully set new goals. These subjects come after the Samhain period. But we like to skip Samhain. Because we often can't stand it in our own darkness. Because we want to escape the darkness. Everything should be light and easy. Not heavy and demeaning.
So we're happy to skip this Samhain quality in the hopes that we'll get away with it. But Samhain is like the 13th fairy in the story. There is no escaping this quality. She will keep knocking on your door, inviting you to bring light into your own darkness.
So before we storm out again and pretend nothing is wrong and everything is supidupi, indulge in the Samhain quality. Accept their priceless gifts for you. It is the time when we can feel the quality of death. Where we become aware of the transience of this incarnation. Where we can recognize that we will not stay in this body in these circumstances forever. We won't be young forever, our children won't be with us forever, neither will our parents. Life's chances are always in front of us, but we must choose. We have to take action. (And yes, I deliberately choose the word "must") If we don't grab it, nothing will happen. Then we will perhaps be frustrated again in the Samhain time next year, sad that another year is almost over, perhaps without fulfillment.
With death and Samhain we always enter the realm of the ancestors. The energies that have lived and gone. And I mean ancestors here in a very broad field (not only your grandparents and great-grandparents, but much further) - ancestral energy that can strengthen us. Who wishes us not to waste our lifetime and let it pass unused.
Samhain time is a good time to connect with the ancestral energy, to be empowered by it, to be inspired by it. To receive messages, impulses and inspirations from the other side. Samhain- the time when we can penetrate deep into the dark earth with our roots. Where there is no light yet, but where our ancestors are waiting for us to give us their gifts. We are strengthening our footing here so that when the time comes we can stretch powerfully into the sky.
So yeah you feel the dark? It is an invitation to descend into the dark earth, to lift your still-hidden jewels, to hear the gifts of the ancestors, and to recognize death as your ally.
An invitation to turn appearances into real beings. The Path of Enlightenment and Initiation. Ride this wave - and don't forget: we can fall and get back on the board. We can be sad about missed opportunities, about unused opportunities, about past situations, about saying goodbye to the old. Allow yourself to grieve, allow yourself to be tired, also allow yourself to be afraid of this energy - we are allowed to be afraid - and we are allowed to find answers to the question of why we are afraid of what we are afraid of.
And grief can help us let go and can help us appreciate more deeply what is still there and what is yet to come. Dare to look into your own darkness, to perceive it, to discover new inner spaces - to prepare them for the coming light.
Samhain and death as allies by your side to truly find life.
If you are ready to embark on this, I recommend my book Death, The Key to Life - there is no time of the year more perfect and appropriate to work with this book than at Samhain time. Just follow the link here.
Be a great wave rider of the time qualities and if we fall off the board - no worries, we'll get back on and try again until we're a master. The soul has been given a lot of time for this.
Love, your Jennifer
